Hello all,

What are the places to be or not to be in Jakarta according to your opinion? Personally I like the X2, good music and however it is crowded it is not too crowded. Besides that I like NuChina in Kemang even as the Second floor which is located above NuChina. However I also like bars and clubs like the Bats. So what are you up to in the weekend? Post your view about the Jakarta nightlife over here and who knows which undiscovered clubs Jakarta has to offer!

Gr, Jeroen

Hi there Jeoen,

Thanks for your message,

Well Those places that you meantioned are the ones that I also enjoy. Usually after I am done in Kemang I'll end up in Blok m for the late hours untill 4 or 5 am in the Top gun bar. ;)

For the live music lovers you can go to the BB's in Menteng (on the corner from Lippo bank).
Good blues and jazz performances in the weekends only.

X2, dragonfly, Red square are DJ perfromances almost daily. Second floor and NUchina also has DJ's playing, but mostly in the weekends only. During the week its nice to lounge, then its quite and girlfriend friendly

If you like to lounge in a good winebar, My favourite is VIn+ in Kemang(next to Amigos) affordable imported wines with a nice lounge in the back to drink it.

Any more undiscovered places? Do let us know

Cheers

I have also been to the Red Square.
It's a nice club, good music and great cocktails! :)
Only it was too small, I could barely dance, because it was too crowded. :(

Thnx for the replays. I like wine either and I'm familiar with Vin+ in Kemang which is definitely a good place to be if you like wine. Besides that, there should be a wine bar in Kuningan either, anyone familiar with this bar? How is it? Gr,

Hi Jeroen,

I also heard the same about a winebar in Kuningan. I guess it is the Mega Kuningan Wine bar.

I found this information:
Quote:
Magnum (One of Blog Jakarta Team Nightlife Favourite's)
(Mall Bellagio, Mega Kuningan)

http://www.magnum-jakarta.com/web/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5&Itemid=12

Wine bar, very relaxing and upmarket. Very good selection of wine and cigars

I've been in Mega Kuningan many time,s but never in Mall Bellagio.

On their website you can download their wine&price list. the cheapers wine is RP209.000

Vin+ is defenetely cheaper, but im sure to check out the place.

In the inflight magazine of Mandala there was an artical about the nightlife of JKT. I already forgot the name but i've the magazine @ the apartment and will have a look. When I've visited the bar i'll write my comments about it.

Gr,

Jeroen

Yeah Jeroen, Thanks,

Well We've been there now. The name is Cork and screw! Its on Rasuna Said, 5 min from Setiabudi in Kuningan.

Its comparable with Vin+ in Kemang, but a bit bigger. You have an inside and a outside vieuw area.

Take care and enjoy! ;)

I've went to Triple nine i kemang and the place is good. Nice music, great Dj and great drinks and price. And the crowd was great, friendly and nice people. Everybody jsut seems to have a good time and mingle within the crowd. But make sure you eat before going in cos they're only serving beverages. NO FOOD inside. I've been there a couple of times and planning to went there over again...

Hi Cozy_Janna,

I've never heard of that place before.
What kind of place is it, a lounge, bar, club?
Thanks for your contribution.
