Taman suropati is removed from favorites Suropati Park (originally named Burgemeester Bisschopplein) is the name of a park in Jakarta. At first the name of the park is taken from the name of the Mayor (Burgemeester) the first Batavia GJ Bisshop (1916-1920). This park is the center of Menteng, was right in between the confluence of three major roads namely Menteng Boulevard (Jl. Teuku Umar), Orange Boulevard (Jl. Diponegoro) and Nassau Boulevard (Jl. Imam Bonjol). At first shaped hill, then trimmed and thrown away some land to Jl. Besuki. This field planted with trees and flowers started since 1920. Field which is now referred to as the Suropati Park since 1920 has replaced the large circular field in Moojen Plan. Suropari shady garden, since a few years ago was decorated with statues of the sculptor's work throughout ASEAN.
