Church World Service is an international relief, development, and refugee assistance agency. Together with local organizations, we work in urban and rural setting to provide humanitarian assistance to survivors of natural and human-made disasters, to help addressing food insecurity and the effects of poverty, and to support sustainable development. We help the most vulnerable, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. CWS was established in 1946 and has been operating in Indonesia for over 40 years under the MOU with the Ministry of Social Affairs. CWS works with partners to eradicate poverty and hunger and promote peace and justice in Indonesia by improving the quality of life of the poor and strengthening civic institutions.
